About Us
Welcome to the East Beds Youth Choir website
East Beds Youth Choir is a 3 part harmony auditioned choir and has continued to grow to 40 male and female singers aged 10 – 21 years who either live in East Bedfordshire or attend most local schools, university or work in this part of the county.
We sing an extremely wide range of songs in Italian, Latin, Swedish, English, Classical, Beatles, Jazz, Pop, Folksongs, Disney, Robbie Williams, Musicals, Christmas, Elton John, Mika, Abba, The Feeling and many, many more!
East Beds Youth Choir has been lucky enough to sing in wide variety of venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Bedford Corn Exchange with Bedford Sinfonia, RAF Chicksands, many local Churches, Schools and Village Halls.
In 2008 we hosted a Swedish Youth Choir – Steens from Stockholm and took part in workshops and performances with them.
Many of our singers have gone and studied voice and drama at university.
We rehearse during term time on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 7pm at Caldecote Church.
East Beds Youth Choir success!
EBYC gained 1st place at the recent 2012 Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama.
The ecstatic choir were awarded a Distinction for their three songs and received a glorious trophy.
EBYC won the HF and RG Gale Cup at Bedford Music Festival on 2nd March 2013 for the best 19yrs and under choir singing.
EBYC were then invited to sing at the Gala Concert a week later to showcase their talents and went on to win the Bedford Choral Society Cup for the Best Youth Choir and £200
EBYC are touring to France in May to give 2 concerts with the help of Sandy Twinning Committee.
EYBC won the open Choral Ensemble with Outstanding at Bedford Music Festival 2014
